nine favorite things

Nine Favorite Things: We’ve had a lot happening. It’s all so exciting, and when I have 5 seconds to sit and think about it, look back through photos, and reflect, I’m able to really see how far things have come. In some areas, we’re making things that I’ve always dreamed of into reality. There have been so many big strides.

At other times, I still have SO MUCH that I know I want to bring to the table. I can feel frustrated with how long the road can seem to really get things done, but for the most part, I’m excited. We are preparing for a big fall and holiday season with the launch of the fourth cookbook, Quick and Cozy, and a handful of small (fun) product launches that I love so much.

I spent a few days back in New York this week. I know, there’s been a lot of trips to New York, but last week’s trip was very last minute. That said, I don’t mind. Travel gives me a lot of energy and new ideas.

This week’s trip was one of my favorites to date. I was there for a new campaign shoot that we’re launching in September. And YOU GUYS, I have never been so excited to share a campaign with you. It is so good, and I am so happy with how things turned out. I can’t say anything more, but something truly awesome is launching in just a few weeks. Keep your eyes peeled for this one.

In addition to an incredible day on set, the weather in New York was perfect. It was a good 80 degrees with low humidity and small signs of the change of season approaching. I loved every minute of it. It’s such a great time of year! I’m hoping you’re enjoying this time, too!

So much more to share in the coming weeks, the biggest being our new cookbook this November. I know it’s not even August, but November will be here so soon!

On the opposite side of the country, my family spent a couple of days in Aspen this week. They took Oslo to the Snowmass Rodeo. How fun is that! I love that people are realizing that the rodeo is such a fun family activity for summertime. They stayed at the Limelight Snowmass (great for kids), which has a shuttle down to the rodeo. There’s one more rodeo left this summer for anyone who will be in the area!

I think thatโ€™s really all my updates. I’m excited about the recipes Iโ€™ll be sharing this month and next month too! Theyโ€™re very back-to-school focused and so delicious! My favorite time of year to cook and bake is almost here.

Have the best Sunday!

1. Things Iโ€™m Loving, Wanting, + Excited to Try

lovingโ€ฆthe new ร‰terne lounge socks. I’ve been wearing these at night and they are the coziest. I adore a cozy sock. Also, love the brands Long Sleeve Baby Tee and Drawstring Short. My favorite. The material is so soft you guys. ร‰terne certainly knows how to make the best lounge pieces.

tryingโ€ฆCocofloss Woven Dental Floss. I just read all about this dental floss. I’m very curious to see if it just might get me into a better flossing routine. It’s either this or the water flosser, going to try both and see what I love more.ย

everything in my cart (low)โ€ฆthese Levis vintage overalls will be cute over sweaters this fall.

and now, all my latest Zara finds. Love this cozy 100% wool basic short sleeve top, smooth knit cardigan, and cable knit top. This is a great leather jacket and leather short skirt. Also loving this belted mini skirt with a matching fitted blazer – cute.

and for Zara shoes, these patent leather heeled shoes and these mules – with the cutest bow detailing, are both in my cart.

listening toโ€ฆI can’t keep up with the podcasts these days! Not enough time to listen, but I loved this recent episode with Natasha Oakley on How To Be Fulfilled, Manifestation, & Ways To Become Strong & Independent. I also found this podcast with Paul Saladino MD very interesting on Why People Stay Sick, Proper Nutrition, Lies In Food, & Ingredients That Harm Us. I love that he drinks raw goat milk (we do too)!

dreaming of going to…Belleville, Paris. What a cute town. The Babel hotel looks charming and cute, and the restaurants sound delish.

lovingโ€ฆthe McGee & Co. Fall Shoot. Is anyone else excited for fall decor? I can’t wait. Pottery Barn has already launched Thanksgiving. OMG. Let’s celebrate Halloween first!

shoppingโ€ฆthe Eberjey Gisele Long PJ Set. It’s almost cozy time. Love all Eberjey PJ Sets.

gifting…bag charms. These are so cute and would be fun gifts for friends or, in a few months, stocking stuffers!

everything in my cart (beauty)โ€ฆthe OPI ProSpa nail and cuticle oil + their gel colors – bubble bath and love is in the bare. One coat of each is the perfect nude nail.

Ordering the Chanel Hydra Beauty Camellia Water Cream. I’m in desperate need of moisture. My skin is so dry when I’m home on Colorado. And I just ordered the iS CLINICAL Neckperfect Complex. I need a neck firming cream because I very much neglect my neck when it comes to skincare, yet the neck is just as important as the face!

As for hair care, I want to try the Rร”Z Foundation Mask. I keep seeing this brand everywhere!

And lastly, literally everything I added to my cart from the Shopbop beauty sale.

watchingโ€ฆEmily in Paris. I haven’t watched the newest episodes, but I’m excited to! Have you watched yet? Also, Emily in โ€ฆ Couture! Lily Collins Delivers Glamour at the Emily in Paris Premiere. This I did watch and it’s cute! Vogue takes you through Lilly Collins prep for the premiere.

reading…What Small, Inexpensive Things Make Your Life Better? Ah, my space heater, for sure. Better yet, I love the sauna blanket the most. And I also second puff pastry. And the mint roller too.

everything in my cart (high)โ€ฆlove this very chic Acne Studios Oversize Blazer.

followingโ€ฆEmese Gormley. Watch her stories for the best of the best beauty (and honestly, fashion too) products to know about.

curious to knowโ€ฆwhat’s your favorite brownie recipe (this is my GO TO)? Actually, what’s your favorite “back to school” bake sale recipe? These Frosted Chocolate Fudge Pop Tart Bars would be fun to make!

4. They’re Back! Home Chef + Pumpkin Smash

The Pumpkin Smash Candleย

You guys! As mentioned above, we have had a lot to share. This week we relaunched the HBH x Snif original scent, Pumpkin Smash!

This relaunch comes in a new fluted vessel that I adore. It also now comes in 3 sizesโ€”small, medium, and the big four-wick! It’s the prettiest and brings a whole new life to our already-loved candle.

With pumpkin spice, cinnamon stick, brรปlรฉed orange, salted maple, roasted chocolate, and a dash of whiskey, itโ€™s the perfect blend of sweet and spicy!

I know we are just entering pumpkin season, but this candle sells out every single season. Order a few now, and by the end of September, you’ll be stocked up and ready for pumpkin season.

  1. I, too, am SO ready for Fall! Bring me cooler weather, gorgeous colors, cozy foods, candlelight and spooky time October! In reading Natalie’s comment below… I agree that a different format in the Snif candles that might be just a bit less expensive (anywhere in the $20s) would be super cool! They do such a good job with their ‘Try it before you buy it’ program. Those generously-sized (“try it”) tealights would be incredible in a discovery-type set. Anyway… have purchased my Pumpkin Smash and am looking forward to your newest book. Keep doing what you do, Girl – the best part of my Sundays is reading Nine Favorite Things with a good cup of coffee.

    1. Hi Nancie,
Thanks so much for reading today! Lol yes, I can feel the want for fall vibes with you as well. Thank you for your feedback regarding the candles, I do understand that they are not incredibly cheap, but they are really great quality and last a long time, in my opinion:) I hope you love the Pumpkin Smash, it really is so good! Thanks for being here! xT

  2. Any plans for a more affordable candle from Snif? I’d love to try your pumpkin smash scent because I looooove fall scents but hard to justify on my budget. It’s hard out here for millennials! Will definitely pick up your cookbook, I know that will be worth the money!

    1. Hi Natalie,
Thanks so much for your question! Unfortunately, I don’t control the pricing, but we did add a 3rd size this year, so you can now get a 6oz candle for $34. While I understand that you can definitely get cheaper candles out there, I really do think it’s worth it and the candle lasts a good amount of time. Thanks for your support with the cookbook:) xT

  3. My go to brownie recipe has always been Nigella’s. I’m sure yours is lovely – don’t get me wrong! It’s a straightforward recipe but the secret for me is to always use really good quality chocolate – I prefer Green & Blacks 70% cooking chocolate.

Love that fall (autumn!) is imminent – cooler nights, candles, warm fires, crunchy leaves, Tieghan’s new book – can’t wait!

    1. Hey Marie,
Thanks so much for reading today and sharing your favorite brownie recipe, I might have to give it a try:) I agree, good quality chocolate makes all the difference! Hope you are having a great Monday! xT
